Hello!

I'm Heather Mendoza.

I am a mother to three children, a one year old who is the sweetest, my 8 year old, who is very much the boss in our house and my 18 year old, stepson who is so cool in every way! I have two dogs who are also mommy's babies.

2020 was where most of the changes for our family came. My husband switched to a completely different job that challenges himself, we decided to build a new house in hopes to grow our family and I decided to quit at Lifetouch Portrait Studios to pursue and challenge my own photography skills. Family is everything to me! My walls are literally filled with the love we share! Some people love artwork on their walls, My family is my artwork and I want to capture that for others too! My husband and I love to dance. Dancing in the kitchen, at Zumba classes where we can shake our booties! haha We have been trying to grow our family a few years after I had my daughter and needed help. In 2022 we did IVF due to fertility problems. With many shots and medicine, doing IVF did not go as planned. In 2023, we were able to conceive naturally with our little miracle baby girl. She is now one and brings us so much joy.

I have had 20 years of photography experience and still learning new styles every day! I am REALLY great with the littles ones. I get down on their level, distract and play with them to capture their personalities. I work really hard to get their smiles as well as everything in between. I do my very best to look at all the details when working with each client, from fixing hair or adjusting clothing to flatter that person. I love to be silly and consider myself pretty simple and easy going. I am a lover and have a big heart, I cry literally at anything sad, joyous and beautiful. What I want to do in my photography, capture the true love in your portraits!
